  2. Aug 21,  · Tunes such as the swaying, anthemic “Silver Lining” and the hook-heavy stomper “The King Is Dead” are like classic rock for the 21st century. Greene’s simmering soloing on “Where the Downhearted Go” proves why the blues-obsessed adore him, and easygoing, folk-flecked tracks such as “Motorhome” give the album a rootsy gravitas.
  3. Another great album/CD by Jackie Greene. He is an incredible musician and singer and beyond. The Back To Birth CD is excellent, I am wearing it out. The song "Trust Somebody" is one of his best ever, and I cannot stop singing it in my head after weeks already/5(43).
  4. Mar 11,  · Back To Birth is a significant change for Jackie Greene yes his music has always had an authentically rootsy style and presentation, yet here we find very little of the rock n’ roller who gave us such classics as “ Mexican Girl,” “Shaken,” or “Uphill Mountain,” where he and his band would splinter the floorboards, allowing me to shake the dust from my cowgirl boots/5(6).
